Excursion description

For the lover of wine and good food, knowing the Atacama desert and not enjoying its surprising culinary and wine-producing benefits, extraordinary in their form and quality, is to miss a unique opportunity, not only to know millenary gastronomic customs and flavors with their own stamp, but in addition to being direct witnesses of the tasting of exceptional agricultural resources grown and raised in the backyard of homes that offer us their tender culinary fruit fed with natural nutrients and with the personal dedication of their cultivators.

This is how this sybarite tour takes us from the morning to taste a gastronomic route that begins with a surprising breakfast full of the charm of French bakery and good coffee, to continue with the ethnic mixture of fruit juices and natural herbs on the shores from the San Pedro River, a refreshing ice cream with fruits of the area, and a fantastic cocoa with fruits or cereals made in an Atacameña mountain village, the latter specially designed to accompany the transition from the gastronomic experience to winemaking, but not without first introducing ourselves in the magic of the kitchen of a family from the area that grows and raises its own vegetables, herbs and different animals and birds that will be the protagonists of a tasting of a mixture of meats (alternatives: guanaco, llama, duck, rabbit, turkey, lamb) accompanied with typical garnishes that have sustained the cuisine of the Lickan antay people for millennia, to later continue with the wine route that invites you to know the País strain and others such as Syrah, Alejandría Moscatel, Rosé Moscatel, Chardonnay and Malbec, which have been cultivated for almost 10 years by the Viñas Láscar and de Puques, among others, worked by original families who have managed to harvest these strains in a unique terroir, the which is characterized not only by its extreme conditions given by the constant sun, ash and volcanic rocks, as well as the dryness of the environment, but also by becoming formidable fruits of the vine that have been achieved at the highest altitude on the planet, and which are known as the exceptional "Ayllu" wines.
